And beside the ocean
all of it washes over you.
You spill over
how much sadness you‘ve been carrying around
and how much pain.
Slowly you let splashes of it go,
for the sea to carry away
and to set your heart a little bit
I finally whispered a bittersweet goodbye
as the waves came to my solid, pearlescent core
and found you.
They soothingly pulled you away
and eventually you melted with the sun.
This time, for sure.
